Interim National Correspondent/Reporter: Accumulated 13 bylines and produced five related videos in six weeks in 2008 covering Texas, New Mexico and Oklahoma for the National desk. In New York City, I have written for the Metro, City, Week in Review, Dining and Foreign sections.

Fulbright Scholars Program (Jakarta, Indonesia)
Scholar: Field research on the professionalism of Indonesian journalism, notably how Indonesian journalists cover domestic terrorism under the influences of government, media owners and journalism trainers. Also conducted lectures for Indonesian journalists and university students.

Russian-American Journalism Institute (Rostov, Russia)
Visiting Professor: Lead journalism classes and practical coaching sessions for 30 Russian and American undergraduate and graduate students. The program, funded by the U.S. State Department, was jointly administered by New York University, Ithaca College, and Rostov State University.

Reported from Indonesia, Venezuela, Russia, The Baltic States, and Brazil.

Associate Producer: Assisted in the pre-production and field production for "The Struggle For the Soul of Islam: Inside Indonesia," a PBS documentary featured in the "America at a Crossroads" series.

Founder and Producer: Wrote and produced Ready or Not, Here They Come, a half-hour documentary exploring the abuses of a New York State law permitting junior high students to play varsity sport. The documentary won a 1999 CINE Eagle award.
